Move a call between your devices

You can move an answered call from one of your devices to another without hanging up. For example, you can move a call from your desk phone to your mobile phone as you walk out of the office, or from your browser to your desk phone.

The other party stays connected the whole time. You can only move calls between your own devices. Nobody can take over another person's call or ring another person's phone this way.

Pull a call to another device

There are two ways to pull a call.

From the web client or the app:

  1. Open the call and use the option to move it to another device.
  2. Pick the device you want the call on. It rings.
  3. Answer on that device. The call moves there, and the old device is hung up.

If you do not answer the device, nothing changes and the call stays where it is.

By dialling the pull code:

  1. On the device you want the call on, dial the pull code. The default is *85.
  2. The call moves to that device at once.

The pull code works from any of your devices, including a desk phone and a mobile phone.

Call using a desk phone

You can start a call from the web client and have it answered on your desk phone:

  1. Choose your desk phone as the device to call from.
  2. Enter the number you want to call.

Your desk phone answers by itself, through the speaker or the headset, and then the call is placed to the number you chose. This only works if you have turned on remote call control for that device.

Turn on remote call control

Remote call control lets your web client answer your desk phone automatically. It is off by default.

  1. Open your settings and find the desk phone among your devices.
  2. Turn on remote control for it.

You can turn it off again at any time.

What you will see

The call keeps its identity, so the call history shows one call with the move in its timeline, not two calls.

Tips

  • Pull a call while it is still talking. A call that is ringing cannot be pulled.
  • A mobile phone that is asleep may take a few seconds to ring. Wait for it before you answer on the other device.
