Sizing calculator
Enter the size of your site and get the CPU, memory, disk, media bandwidth and RTP ports for one node. Enter your host's figures as well and the calculator says whether it is big enough. The results are planning numbers, not guarantees.
The calculator is generated from the product's own sizing code (mpbx sizing): every constant and formula on this page is the one the binary uses, and the page checks itself against the binary's answers for sample inputs. Nothing here is written by hand. If the calculator does not load, open it on its own page.
Run it on the command line
mpbx sizing --users 200
mpbx sizing --users 1200 --concurrent-calls 180 --recorded-percent 25 --host-cpus 8 --host-ram-gib 16 --host-disk-gib 500
docker run --rm <mpbx image> sizing --users 200 # before installing
mpbx sizing --json prints the answer for a program to read; the exit code is 1 when a host you gave is too small. Each answer lists the assumptions behind it (what was measured, what is a guess).
Checks after installation
mpbx doctorreports whether the listeners are up.mpbx portslists the ports your configuration opens.- The measured load results for one lab machine are in the load and sizing report in the repository.
