Voicemail error codes (mpbx-voicemail)

Raised by the voicemail routes and the phone menu (W3-TEL-08). Messages never contain PINs, PIN hashes, caller numbers or the content of a message; they name ids and field names at most. Codes that describe a mail failure (MPBX-VM-EMAIL-*) are stored as the message's email_error_code rather than returned. Guide: Voicemail.

MPBX-VM-MAILBOX-NOT-FOUND	not_found	No such mailbox in this company (another company's mailbox is invisible).	Check the id.
MPBX-VM-MESSAGE-NOT-FOUND	not_found	No such message in this company, or it was deleted.	Check the id.
MPBX-VM-GREETING-NOT-FOUND	not_found	The mailbox has no greeting of that kind.	The standard system greeting plays; record or upload one.
MPBX-VM-NO-MAILBOX	not_found	The extension has no mailbox, so callers cannot leave a message.	Create the mailbox (POST /api/v1/voicemail/mailboxes).
MPBX-VM-EXTENSION-INVALID	invalid_argument	The extension does not exist in this company or is not a user extension.	Use the id of a user extension.
MPBX-VM-MAILBOX-EXISTS	conflict	The extension already has a mailbox.	Update the existing one.
MPBX-VM-MAILBOX-DISABLED	conflict	The mailbox is switched off and takes no messages.	Switch it on (enabled: true).
MPBX-VM-MAILBOX-FULL	conflict	The mailbox holds as many messages as max_messages allows. A message that arrived while the mailbox filled up was refused and its audio removed.	Delete messages or raise max_messages.
MPBX-VM-PIN-NOT-SET	conflict	The mailbox has no PIN yet; its owner must set one first. There is no default PIN.	The owner sets a PIN (PUT /api/v1/voicemail/mailboxes/{id}/pin) or from the mailbox's own phone.
MPBX-VM-PIN-WEAK	invalid_argument	The new PIN is not acceptable: not digits, outside the length limits (4 to 10 digits by default), one digit repeated, a run (1234), a repeated block (1212), the extension number or a common PIN.	Choose another PIN.
MPBX-VM-PIN-WRONG	permission_denied	The PIN given is wrong, or the current PIN is required and was not sent. Every wrong PIN counts toward the lockout.	Send the right PIN; ask an administrator for a reset when it is forgotten.
MPBX-VM-PIN-THROTTLED	rate limited (429)	A wrong PIN was entered a moment ago; nothing was checked. The wait doubles with each wrong PIN (2, 4, 8, 16 seconds by default, at most 60). The Retry-After header says how long.	Wait, then try again.
MPBX-VM-MAILBOX-LOCKED	permission_denied	Five wrong PINs in a row locked the mailbox. Not even the right PIN opens it.	An administrator unlocks it (POST /api/v1/voicemail/mailboxes/{id}/unlock) or resets the PIN.
MPBX-VM-AUDIO-INVALID	invalid_argument	The greeting is not a WAV file the system can play (16-bit PCM or 8 kHz G.711, mono or stereo, 8 or 16 kHz), is shorter than 0.3 seconds, longer than 2 minutes, or larger than 5 MiB.	Convert to WAV, or record in the browser.
MPBX-VM-OBJECT-INVALID	invalid_argument	The audio object the engine reported is not where this mailbox expects it (its company, mailbox and message ids in the key). It is not registered and not touched.	A bug or a tampered reference; report it.
MPBX-VM-SETTINGS-INVALID	invalid_argument	A setting is out of range or malformed (retention_days 1 to 3650, max_messages 1 to 1000, notify_email must look like an address, folder is new, old or saved).	Fix the named field.
MPBX-VM-CHANGED	conflict	The mailbox changed between your read and your write (stale If-Match).	Read it again and retry with the new ETag.
MPBX-VM-EMAIL-NOT-CONFIGURED	n/a (message email_error_code)	Voicemail-to-email is on for the mailbox but the install has no email provider yet (ADM-UI-008). The mail is recorded as skipped; the message stays in the mailbox.	Configure the email provider; mails of messages that arrived before are not sent later.
MPBX-VM-EMAIL-REJECTED	n/a (message email_error_code)	The email provider refused the mail for good (bad address, blocked, attachment too large), or the audio could not be read. Not retried.	Fix the address in notify_email or the owner's account.
MPBX-VM-EMAIL-UNAVAILABLE	n/a (message email_error_code)	The email provider could not be reached; all attempts (5, with doubling delays from 60 seconds) are used up.	Check the email provider; the message stays in the mailbox.
MPBX-VM-EMAIL-NO-ADDRESS	n/a (message email_error_code)	The mailbox has no notify_email and its owner has no address. The mail is skipped.	Set notify_email.
MPBX-VM-SHARED-EXTENSION-INVALID	invalid_argument	A shared mailbox sits on a queue, ring group or other non-user extension of this company; the extension does not exist or is a user extension.	Use the id of a queue or ring group extension (a user's own mailbox is not shared).
MPBX-VM-NOT-SHARED	invalid_argument	Members and claims exist on shared mailboxes only.	Use a shared mailbox.
MPBX-VM-NOT-MEMBER	permission_denied	The caller is not a member of the shared mailbox. Only members open it; voicemail:read and extensions:write do not.	Ask an administrator to add you as a member.
MPBX-VM-MEMBER-NOT-FOUND	not_found	The user is not a member of the mailbox.	List the members first.
MPBX-VM-MEMBER-USER-INVALID	invalid_argument	The user to add does not exist in this company.	Use the id of a user of this company.
MPBX-VM-MEMBER-ROLE-INVALID	invalid_argument	The role is not member or supervisor, or the mailbox is a queue's, whose members are all supervisors.	Use supervisor for a queue's mailbox.
MPBX-VM-ALREADY-CLAIMED	conflict	Another member holds the message. The answer carries nothing about who; the message list does.	Ask the holder or a supervisor to release it.
MPBX-VM-NOT-CLAIMED	conflict	Nothing to release: nobody holds the message, or a plain member tried to release another member's claim.	Reload the list; a supervisor can take a claim away.
MPBX-VM-PROMPT-MISSING	unavailable	A system prompt of the voicemail language pack (prompts/{locale}/vm-*.wav in the install-wide store) is not installed, so the phone menu or the greeting cannot be played.	Install the voicemail prompt pack for the language (docs/guides/voicemail.md, "Prompts").
