SIP trunk error codes (mpbx-b2bua, trunks)
Raised by the trunk store and the provider template catalogue (W2-TRK-01). Messages name the field and the rule, never a password, a digest or a carrier address. Guide: SIP trunks.
| Code | Kind | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
MPBX-TRUNK-INVALID | invalid_argument | A trunk setting is not valid: the message starts with the field (host, port, outbound_proxy, registrar, auth_username, inbound_username, inbound_cidrs, main_number, codecs, options_interval_secs, options_failures, register_expiry_secs, from_user, from_domain, dids, ...) and says what is allowed. Combinations count too: a registration trunk needs a username and a password; digest inbound authentication needs an inbound username and password; a password needs a username; an allow-list entry of /0 would accept every address and is refused. A provider template file that does not check (unknown key, missing host placeholder, an unverified template without the "Best effort, verify with the carrier" notice) carries the same code. | Fix the named field. Passwords are write-only: send them again to change them. |
MPBX-PG-DUPLICATE | conflict | Another trunk of the company has this name, or another DID entry of the company starts at the same number. | Choose another name, or change the existing DID entry. |
MPBX-PG-REFERENCE | conflict | The trunk is still a route of an outbound rule, so it cannot be deleted. | Remove it from the rules first. |
MPBX-CONFLICT | conflict | The trunk changed since it was read (optimistic version), or a DID range overlaps another DID of the company. | Read the trunk again and retry; pick DIDs no other trunk of the company carries. |
MPBX-NOT-FOUND | not_found | No such trunk in this company (another company's trunk is invisible). | Check the id. |
Run-time trunk problems are not errors of an API call. They show in the trunk's status
(t:{tenant_id}:kv:trunk:{trunk_id}:status: up, failures, registration.state,
registration.last_error such as 403 Forbidden or timeout) and in the metrics
mpbx_trunk_up, mpbx_trunk_registered, mpbx_trunk_registrations_total and
mpbx_trunk_inbound_total.
